December 31st, the last day of 2020, and my last blog for this year. I think everyone will agree that this year has been one hell of a roller-coaster ride, that unexpectedly and unwillingly everyone had to ride. Yet with its ups and downs many of us have survived.
It was a year of many challenges, changes and adjustments. We had to adapt to a new normality. Our kitchens became our favourite restaurant, our living room became our grand cinema, lounge wear became our go to daily outfit and masks became our most stylish accessory. Everyone has struggled in one way or another, be it physically, emotionally or mentally. We had to overcome various obstacles and make sacrifices.
There is always a bright side to every situation. Although everyone dreads 2020, we should take a moment and appreciate the positive things we can take up to 2021. 2020 showed us what really matters. Maybe it was a wake up call we needed. One thing this year has surly taught me is to appreciate every moment, as simple as it can be as you can wake up one day to a totally new reality.I am grateful for my health, my family and friends, for my work and my home.
Although the road to normality may seem foggy, difficult to walk and far away we need to be strong, have hope, faith and believe that everything will be somehow better. I hope 2021 will bring us better days. I long for the moment I see my grandma, to be able to hug her without putting her health in danger. I long for the days I can see my relatives from abroad. I look forward to meeting and interacting with people without being scared, those late night outs with friends. And finally (and so obvious) I long for the day I will be sitting in my window seat watching the clouds drift away as I travel from one place to another.
Starting this blog was tough. I struggled to find content to write about, to remain relevant in a time where travelling was out of the question. But I realized that TravelDosed does not have to be only about travelling to different countries. We are continuously travelling to different destinations as life itself is a journey. I thank everyone who supported me, local companies with whom I had the opportunity to collaborate with, my subscribers and each and everyone of you who have read my articles.
I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year, filled with health, happiness, love and peace !! " May the new year bring you new strength, new hope and new dreams. "
Stay safe & stay TravelDosed !! See you next year.
